Michael Wilson is the Debbie and Andy Rachleff Distinguished Professor of Neurology at the University of California San Francisco’s Weill Institute for Neurosciences. He directs the UCSF Center for Encephalitis and Meningitis, and his lab conducts translational biomarker research and diagnostic assay development for infectious and autoimmune causes of encephalitis and other neuroinflammatory disorders.
His research has been recognized with awards from the Foundation for the NIH, the American Neurological Association, and the International Society of Neuroimmunology. He is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians.
