Jim’s career included 20+ years with the Port Authority of NY & NJ; however, as a result of his herpes simplex virus encephalitis diagnosis, he retired last February. In his last 10 years at the agency, he created and operated a cyber security unit that undertook investigations spanning five airports, a railroad, several ports, tunnels, bridges, and a bus terminal. Jim is married with 4 children. Together, they enjoy sailing, rock climbing, and camping. At the ‘My Brain: My Story: My Family‘ event in October 2024, he shared his experience.
