US Residents - Leaving a Legacy to Encephalitis International
Encephalitis International is a Named Fund member of the Chapel & York US Foundation, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation. Partnering with Chapel & York in this way allows Encephalitis International to accept donations and legacies from supporters resident in the US without having to set up a legal entity in the US.
Template wording for US residents – amend as required to include in your will:

‘I give, devise and bequeath (_______dollars) or (______ percent of my estate) to the Chapel & York US Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) a Tax-Exempt Organization, EIN 81-2161937, for Encephalitis International for its general purposes, however, if the Chapel & York US Foundation, Inc. is not a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Organization then to Encephalitis International, Registered in England and Wales, Charity No. 04189027, for its general purposes.’
